Emma Quick Counselling

Hello and Welcome

So you may be wondering “what is counselling and psychotherapy?”

For many people this question can conjure up images based on outdated stereotypes or inaccurate media representations.

However, for me, counselling is about finding someone you connect with and feel comfortable with, which allows you to share and explore your experiences, thoughts and beliefs, so that we can work towards your desired outcome. People often look for counselling at times when they feel overwhelmed by their emotions or any aspects of their life.

Most of us know that talking helps, but sometimes it can be difficult to share our feelings and concerns with those close to us (friends and family) for fear of burdening or hurting them; or fear of feeling unheard, judged or rejected. This is when talking to a counsellor, like me, can help.

There are times, for all of us, when our lives change shape or direction so much that the landscape we are used to becomes unrecognisable and difficult to navigate. Or we may feel we are lost (and always have been) in maze of emotions, unsure of how to deal with them, where to turn or how to move forward.

I can accompany you on this journey through your old or new landscapes, using my knowledge and experience to help you to identify blind-spots, obstacles and pit-falls, while helping you find alternative routes and new pathways that feel right for you.

I do this in confidence, without judgement and always with acceptance, respect and kindness. This hopefully allows you to develop a better understanding of yourself and your relationships. Helping you to alter out-dated and unhelpful thoughts, patterns and beliefs, bringing about the change you desire.

Thanks for taking the time to look at my website, the next sections will go into more detail, but if you have any further questions please contact me directly via the contact page, email, phone or text.

A warm thank you
